Business Law – Mike acts as general counsel for small to mid size businesses, assisting his clients with the full range of their legal needs and finding the right colleagues to assist where appropriate. Mike’s services include formation of domestic and foreign corporations, limited liability companies (LLC’s) and other business entities, joint ventures, secured and unsecured loans, and a wide variety of commercial transactions. Mike also assists his clients with contract drafting and negotiation, business acquisitions and sales, regulatory compliance and resolving disputes before they escalate into litigation.
Franchise Law – Mike has extensive experience in franchise law matters. Simply put, Mike helps his clients expand their businesses through franchising. He is available to represent franchisors, franchisees, area developers and companies acquiring franchise systems. Mike’s franchise law services include counseling businesses on the scope of the franchise laws, reviewing and negotiating franchise agreements, trademark and copyright services, and preparation of franchise registration documents.
Real Estate Law – Mike provides a wide range of real estate law services to his clients. These services include representation in the purchase, sale, financing, development, and leasing of commercial and residential real estate. To this end, Mike assists his clients in the drafting, negotiating, and review of real estate documents and agreements. Mike also assists clients with examination of title, resolution of title issues, and conduct of closings. When his clients find themselves facing real estate disputes or litigation, Mike provides dispute resolution and litigation representation to protect his clients' interests and help them achieve their goals.
Civil Litigation and Appeals – Mike has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal trial and appellate courts, before government agencies, administrative bodies, and in arbitrations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Mike aggressively represents clients in a wide variety of litigation cases, including business and commercial litigation, collections, real estate cases, employment matters, estate and probate litigation, and many other types of civil disputes. Mike works hard to achieve success for his clients prior to trial, but also has the necessary expertise to take the case to trial when it is in the best interest of the client.
